I am starting my new job today and ive been wondering how the heck ingineers handle the stress of a low paying, high pressure job. So far im really enjoying it. Theyve been very helpful, but not intrusive so far. ive met a few people I know who work for them and they have been great! Ive only been there for about 6 months, but ive already had some great experiences. Here is what I know about working for an engineer ive heard from other engineers that have worked for them.
You are expected to be productive
You need to be productive to survive in this business. You can’t be productive if you aren’t interested in the job. If you’re not interested in the job, then what are you doing worldnewsfact working for a company that pays so little? The productive person doesn’t work for the money, they work for the tips. If you’re not having any fun, then there’s something wrong with your job and you need to find out what’s wrong. If you’re not putting in the energy or effort necessary to achieve your job objectives, then the company will be very frustrated and Place your trust in the people you work for.
You have to hustle
As an engineer, you need to hustle. If you’re not busy working and taking care of business, you won’t be very productive. If youre too busy doing other things that don’t involve your full time job, then your income will be very low and you’re unlikely to be successful in the job travelnowworld . If you constantly feel like you’re being overtaken by this pressure, then you probably aren’t in the right place. You need to be in there with the right pressures at the right time. If you’re always thinking about how to get more work done, then you’re probably low in the rank of those who work in this industry.
Build a rapport with your employees – With everyone in the organization, you need to build an effective working relationship with your employees. This will help avoid the common problems encountered by engineers where they feel like theyre being excluded from their own company. What is the biggest issue? It can be anything like lack of recognition or respect, unsafe workplace conditions, or bad publicity (e.g. a job loss). To work with your employees at this level requires great sensitivity and care.
