    What is the Recruitment Process for the RBI Assistant Post?

    Every year the Reserve Bank of India conducts an RBI assistant exam for the recruitment process of the RBI assistant post. The selection process consists of three competitive exams. The first one is preliminary, and if you crack this, you are eligible to attend the mains. If your overall score meets the recruitment conditions, you have appeared for the language proficiency test (LPT). As per the recruitment process of RBI, the candidates have to secure marks that meet with the cut-off of the RBI assistant post.     RBI Assistant selection process

    Three stages of the competitive exam are followed for the RBI assistant requirement. In prelims and mains, you have negative markings.  The exam pattern and syllabus for the three stages of exams are given below.     The first stage of the recruitment process for RBI assistants is the prelims exam. If you meet all the criteria of RBI and successfully submit the application, you are eligible to appear in the prelims exam. Candidates must be updated with the syllabus then followed by mains exam.

    Tips to score in RBI assistant preliminary exam

    Cracking preliminary exam is not a big deal. You have to focus on each sections of the exam to achieve more marks. The exam consists of three sections that cover 100 marks. The first section is English language section the maximum marks allotted for this section is 30. You have to focus on grammar and sentence development to obtain the whole thirty marks. The second and third sections are numerical ability and reasoning ability with more coverage of 35 marks. Since it has more weightage these are considered as important sections. Practice more to complete these sections within 20 minutes and score higher. Each question is awarded one mark, and in case of a wrong attempt, you will be rewarded with one negative mark.

    RBI assistant mains

    If you clear the preliminary exam, then you are eligible to attend the main exam. This is the second stage of the requirement process for RBI assistants. Your marks in this stage will be accounted for the final allotment of post or salary. Your final result will be announced based on marks you have scored in mains. Both the overall mark and cut off mark will be accounted for selection.

    Tips to score in RBI assistant mains

    Compared to preliminary exam, mains exam has more sections and topics to be covered. So you must work smarter and faster. You have to attend five sections in this level. Where each section has equal weightage of 40 marks. The first three sections are similar to prelims exam. Whereas the fourth and fifth sections are to be focused, which is general awareness and computer knowledge. To prepare with these section you can refer certain content valuable material. Your cut off will be calculated with the average of sections as per your choice of posting.

    Language proficiency test

    The language proficiency test is the third and final stage of the recruitment process of RBI assistants. You can enroll in this after crashing the first two exams. You have to attend this language proficiency test in the official language and also the local language of your posting. You should be eligible to read, write and speak both the official language and local language.
